credit cards in Kenya-the way to go

Hey internet browser,
Have you looked at the Internet lately? Well, if there is something that you will find in almost any site, is the option of buying products over the Internet. The net has become such a versatile market, that companies are cashing in on the quick sales that would otherwise have been lost due to distance and inconvenience. These days you can be in a country as far as Kenya and are able to purchase products in China, US, etc. How easy, huh?No wonder online business has become such big business…. and all it took was for people to become more Internet savvy, i.e. more comfortable with this monster called the Internet. So what is happening in Kenya?I will be speaking to you as an observer as well as someone who regularly participates in online trade. As a Kenyan, I can tell you, just the mention that you can buy things on the internet, that you cannot be sure exist, and giving out your credit card details to practical strangers, can put any Kenyan in an emotional state…. just imagine getting fooled that way? Its not even funny…. its almost like loosing your money to those thugs in town who con naive citizens everyday….But I will say this, and positively I might add…. the young internet savvy Kenyan…the professional man or woman of today, who has sufficient IT skills isn’t afraid of technology, as compared to the same professional 5 –10 years ago. That’s not to say that the older guys have not gotten more comfortable with things. the truth is that the is a large growing population that is catching on…the reason is simple, its becoming more and more difficult to do business, especially if you are dealing with international suppliers and customers, not to rely on the internet for some of this business needs. And since the western world is ahead of us on this, we are busy trying to catch up, if we are to survive in international trade. As I had mentioned to you earlier, I have also used the Internet for several transactions. So I would like to advice you on a few of the things that you should always look for, when trading on the net, from personal experience.First make sure that you have a valid credit card/visa. Meaning it bears the mark of VISA/VISA ELECTRON, etcMake sure that the site that you would like to purchase from is a “protected site”. What this means is that its address begins with “https://www…Also look out for accreditations given to the owner of the site. For example, if you are making a payment for web hosting services, make sure that the host has been given accreditation by ICCANA-this is the regulatory body for worldwide web hosts. Kind of like the mark of quality given by “Kenya Bureau of Standards”Another assurance is to check for genuine reviews that have been given by other 3rd parties about this company that you are transacting with(you could contact one of them )Always make sure that the information that you are going to give relating to your details, matches correctly with what information is held about your credit card. For example, if your name is MAC ONYANGO on the credit card, do not give your details to include MAC GREGORY ONYANGO.One other thing, once you submit your information, do not re-submit, by clicking again on the submit button. This could result in a double charge hitting your account...im sure you wouldn’t want to deal with that situation. The final step is to wait for the response from the other side, as regards whether your credit card processing was valid or not, and if not, what was wrong with the information you gave.If all was well, you will expect further communication from the site owners regarding your purchase as well as delivery.Thank you for taking the time to read through this article.I hope the next time you are contemplating buying a product online, you. will remember this tips that I have shared with you….

Credit cards are becoming more and more popular day by day and that's great. So many people of different nationalities and social status have a chance to get a card.
